​Adding a Pharmacy to SmartCarePlus

SmartCarePlus allows you to manage your pharmacy efficiently by adding it as a health facility. This ensures that your pharmacy's details are properly recorded, making it easier for customers to find and interact with your business. Follow the step-by-step guide below to complete the registration process.


β€‹πŸ”Ή Step 1: Access Health Facilities

To begin, open the drawer menu, locate the Health Facilities option, and tap on it. Once you’re on the Health Facilities screen, look for the Add icon, which is positioned in the bottom right corner of the screen, and click on it to proceed with adding a new facility.


β€‹πŸ’ Step 2: Enter Basic Details

You will now be required to enter the fundamental details of your pharmacy. Make sure to provide accurate information as this will be used for identification and verification purposes.

  • Health Facility Name – Enter the name of your pharmacy as it should appear in the system.
  • Select Facility Type – Choose Pharmacy from the list of health facility types. If your facility also functions as a hospital, clinic, or lab, you can select multiple types.
  • Ownership Type – Specify the ownership structure of your pharmacy by selecting one of the available options: Government, Private, or Public-Private Partnership.
  • Sub-Ownership Type – Based on the ownership type you selected in the previous step, you will be required to choose a relevant sub-ownership type from the list of available options.
  • Sub-Sub Ownership Type – An additional level of ownership categorization may be available based on your previous selections, but this step is optional.
  • System of Medicine – Specify the system of medicine your pharmacy follows by selecting from options such as Allopathy, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, or Homeopathy.

Once all the details are entered correctly, tap on the Next button to proceed.


β€‹πŸ“Έ Step 3: Upload Images

In this step, you need to provide images that represent your pharmacy. These images help improve visibility and authenticity, making it easier for patients and customers to recognize your pharmacy.

  • Upload Logo – Click on the camera icon in the logo placeholder to select an logo image from your device.
  • Board Photo – Capture a clear image of your pharmacy's signboard or select an existing one from your gallery.
  • Gallery Images – To provide a better view of your pharmacy, you can upload multiple images of the interior, exterior, or any other relevant sections of your facility.

Once you have uploaded the necessary images, tap on the Next button to continue.


β€‹πŸ“ Step 4: Enter Address Details

To ensure accurate location mapping, you will need to fill in the detailed address of your pharmacy.

  • Enter Address – Input your pharmacy's street address but exclude state, district, sub-district, and pin code at this stage.
  • Select Country – Currently, India is the only supported country.
  • Select State, District, and Sub-District – Choose the appropriate location details from the available drop-down lists.
  • Enter PIN Code – Provide your area's postal pin code.
  • Select Location – Tap on the location selection card to pick your pharmacy’s exact location using the integrated map feature.
  • Home Delivery Option – If your pharmacy offers a home delivery service, select "Yes" and enter the service radius in kilometers. If not, simply select "No" and proceed.

Once the address details are provided, tap the Next button to continue.


Pharmacies require specific regulatory documentation to operate legally. You will need to enter and upload the following information:

  • GSTIN (Optional) – If your pharmacy is registered under GST, enter your Goods and Services Tax Identification Number.
  • Drug License Number – Enter your pharmacy’s official drug license number, which is required for selling medications.
  • Pharmacist Registration Number (Optional) – If applicable, provide the registration number of the licensed pharmacist associated with your pharmacy.
  • Address Proof Type – Select the appropriate address proof document from the available list (e.g., utility bill, property registration, lease agreement, etc.).
  • Upload Address Proof – Click on the designated card to upload a scanned copy or image of the selected address proof document.

After completing these details, tap Next to proceed to the next step.


β€‹πŸ“œ Step 6: Enter Invoice Details

Set up your pharmacy’s invoice preferences to customize billing and payment options:

  • Invoice Prefix – Enter the prefix you want to appear before each invoice number, e.g., ABC2025, XYZ25, or any custom text you prefer.
  • Signature (Optional) – Upload a photo of the signature you want printed digitally on your invoices.
  • UPI Address (Optional) – Provide your UPI address to generate a QR code on invoices, enabling customers to pay instantly. (Note: There are no service charges or fees from us, and we do not handle the payments you receive.)

After entering these details, tap Next to continue.


β€‹πŸ“ž Step 7: Enter Contact Information

To enable seamless communication with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders, you need to enter valid contact details for your pharmacy.

  • WhatsApp Number – Provide the official WhatsApp number for your pharmacy. This will be used for notifications, order updates, and customer interactions.
  • Phone Number – Enter a valid phone number where customers or suppliers can reach your pharmacy.
  • Email Address (Optional) – If your pharmacy has a dedicated email, you can enter it here.
  • Website (Optional) – If your pharmacy has an official website, you can provide the URL in this field.

After entering the required contact details, tap Next to move forward.


​⏰ Step 8: Set Operating Hours

To ensure customers are aware of your pharmacy’s working hours, set your facility’s opening and closing times. You can also define breaks by adding multiple time slots for each day.

  • Select the opening and closing hours for each day of the week.
  • If your pharmacy has a midday break or specific time slots for different services, add them accordingly.

Once the operating hours are configured, tap Next to proceed.


β€‹βœ… Step 9: Final Review & Submission

Before completing the adding process, you will be shown a preview of all the details you have entered. Carefully review the information and ensure everything is accurate.

  • If you need to make any changes, navigate back to the respective section and update the details.
  • Once you are satisfied, tap the Add Health Facility button at the bottom of the screen to finalize the addition of your pharmacy.
